January to May 2002
January 1-16: Surinam
Delivered eleven days of Raam Katha, which were organized
by Shri Dhani Ramchandra and his family. Theses discourses were broadcasted
live on Rasonic R.T.V. Nikarie, and had an approximate daily attendance
of six hundred to one thousand people. An aggregate of roughly eight thousand
people enjoyed these Raam Kathas. Special dignitaries attending these
discourses were the District Commissioner of Nikarie, Suriname and the
first secretary of High Commission of India in Surinam. This programme
was held in commemoration of the opening of the Durga Mata Temple. A learned
Pundit of Suriname installed Murtis of all gods and goddesses in the temple.
On the last day, the owner of the temple, Shri Dhani Ramchandra handed
over the temple to the esteemed St. Shri Bramhadeo Upadhyay, Coordinator
of VHP Europe Zone and Caribbean Region.
January 17-19: Trinidad
Attend meeting of the Caribbean Hindu Parishad under the
guidance of Raj Jaadoo, President of VHP Trinidad. It was decided that
VHP units will be organized in all countries of the Caribbean region,
and a Caribbean Hindu conference will be organized in Trinidad in the
coming year.
January 20-22: London
Meet with devotees and friends. Due to lack of time, was
unable to meet with VHP committee of London.
January 23-31: India
Attended annual international meeting of VHP. Discussions
and plans were held with Acharya Giriraj and Ashok Singhal.
February 1-21: UK
Meet with friends and devotees in London, Reading, South
Hall and Ealing Cities.
February 26-28: Holland
Stayed in my ashram. Meet with Hindu Swayam Sevak Sangam.
March 1-3: Holland
Delivered discourses on Raam Katha which was organized by
the Bhagwat Baladin family in Deuuman City of South Holland. During these
three day discourses approximately five hundred people attended.
March 4-5: Coral Springs, Florida, USA
Rest in a devotee's house.
March 6-10: Trinidad
Conducted a Shiva Puran Yagna in Arima. Shri Raj Jaadoo,
Shrimatee Sati and family organized this Yagna. Many significant dignitaries
such as the Indian High Commissioner of T&T, the General Secretary
and many Pundits of the SDMS, Dr. Narinesingh, Raviji, and heads of many
Hindu organizations in Trinidad attended this Yagna. Everyone expressed
their appreciation of the philosophical thoughts about Lord Shiva offered
in theses discourses. Officiating was Pundit Keshava. Approximately two
thousand people were in attendance at this five-day Shiva Katha.
March 11-17: Trinidad
Delivered discourses on Shri Shiva Katha at the Divine Life
Society. The Secretary of the Indian High Commission, the Minister of
Agriculture and the Minister of Social and Community Development of T&T
were present. These discourses were aired live on Radio 104. On the 17,
the ministers present laid the foundation of a new building for the Divine
Life Society.
March 18-27: Coral Springs, Florida, USA
Sushri Vashti Ramsumair in the Tulisi Vedant Society Ashram
organized spiritual programmes, daily pujan and meditation classes.
March 27-31: UK
Meet devotees at Reading and South Hall City.
April 1-5: Holland
Attend meeting with VHP members to decide on reorganization
of the VHP in the Netherlands.
April 6-31: India
17: Meet Ashok Singhal in Prayag to discuss future plans
of VHP.
18-21: Mangarah Pratapajarah District.
Meet Swami Prakashanad and his Guru, Kripalu Maharaji
22-24: Did Teertha Yatra in Adyodha.
25-28: Varanasi -Did Kashi Vishwanath Darshan and attended the discourse
at Sankat
Mochan temple.
May 1-31: India
Busy in preparation and celebration of daughter's wedding.
Shri Ashok, Singhalji, Acharyaji and heads of local government offices
all attended the wedding.
