Brahma Vidya Peetham opens new Ashram in Nokesville, Virginia USA

Brahma Vidya Peetham (BVP), Virginia USA opened a new centre in the city of Nokesville. Peethadish and Head of the Center Sri Swamiji graced the grand opening with his divine presence and three days yagna (puja, discourse & worship) to consecrate the building and the grounds of the ashram and temple.

Devotees from Maryland, Virginia,New York, Iowa, Trinidad and Washington DC attended the program over the three evenings. Swamiji performed the pranpratishtha (installation) ceremony of the divine Shivalingam in the main temple hall.

The youth group of BVP rendered bhajans and sang Sri Hanuman Chalisa nightly bringing joyous vibrations to the hearts of all. The yagna was held outside on the ashram grounds under a huge tent that was constructed and beautifully decorated by the hardworking members and devotees of the ashram to hold the big audience. Really it was like Vrindavan Dham!

Sri Swamiji spoke on Sri Krishna's life, message and philosophy over the three days with Aadi Shankaracharya's verses of Bhajo Govindam. Pundit Rajendra Persad, President of BVP conducted the rituals and puja daily. Dr. David Lee Sheng Tin of Maharishi Vedic University attended the three days function also.

Sri Swamiji presented a new angle of Sri Krishna's message to all of humanity through his lectures and slide presentations. This presentation was very appealing and attractive to the listening audience. Devotees voiced their delight after listening daily to Sri Swamiji and said how his lectures brought new light and life to their lives. A local newspaper covered the event and was so happy to know that in the fast paced American lifestyle BVP group took the time to organise such a marvellous program to educate, organise and reform the society to make a good man and better nation.
